How To Stay Motivated and Stop Procrastinating

Are you also the one who wants to do everything but unfortunately ends up being lazy and procrastinating that oh! I will start from Tomorrow. No problem it’s not your fault almost everyone of us go through this situation, for example me everyday i thought let’s start exercising from today and then something happened and i postpone thing on Tomorrow. It’s a never ending circle. Once you are stuck in this loop you have to do many efforts to come out of this. You all must have read this couplets of Kabir Das ji:

काल करे सो आज कर, आज करे सो अब।
पल में परलय होएगी, बहुरि करेगा कब।

Kabir Das Ji says that we have very little time. The thing you want to do tomorrow, do it now, and the thing you want to do today do it now. We do not have much time , anything can happen anytime. In the blink of an eye, the flood will come( means anything can happen) and then when will you do your work?

Okay let’s get on the point how to stay motivated everyday:

Stop Thinking that you are tired: Most of the time in my case, I thought today I am tired. I will do it tomorrow and then there I will be laying on my bed till 1 am at night. So just stop this thought coming in your mind, think how people do hard work everyday, take motivations from real people, do not follow any influencer because they all fake things they just show the perfect part of their lives and then making us think that we are good for nothing.

Stop Focusing on Things That make you Procrastinate:  Identify Your Procrastination Triggers. What throws you off track? Is it social media? Clutter in your workspace? Knowing your triggers allows you to develop strategies to avoid them. For example, if social media is a time suck, mute notifications or use website blockers when you need to focus. And just be positive.

Slow Down a Little: No need to rush, do not think you will achieve it in just one day, no but working a little daily will make you closer to your goal. Make a time table, I know it sounds so childish but I swear it works. Write down where you are utilizing your time and where your time is being wasted.

Give Yourself a Little Push: You are the one and only person who can motivate yourself, no one else can. That’s the harsh truth. No matter how many videos you watch or how many blogs you read about this until and unless you don’t want to change anything, nothing will change. Do positive self talks do not demoralize yourself on your own there are people out there who can do it for yourself. So be a little gentle on yourself.

Just Start: It’s not necessary that you have to do it for a specific period or time, just start small. But the thing is to start.  Whatever you want to do, whether it’s about being healthy or about studying, start in small pieces, do exercise for 10 minutes and study 3 pages or 2 or whatever you find convenient but start.

Ignore All the Negativity: Its life, things happen, do not stick to each and every bad thing. Whatever happens happens for a reason. We are human beings. We sometimes make bad decisions, just do not make this decision in your life. Learn how to move on and accept things.

At last i would like to share a beautiful Shloka by Lord Krishna himself:

कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन । मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भुर्मा ते संगोऽस्त्वकर्मणि ॥

कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन । मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भुर्मा ते संगोऽस्त्वकर्मणि ॥

You have the freedom to act, but you are not guaranteed the outcomes of those actions. Avoid making the results your sole focus, and you will not become attached to avoiding your responsibilities.
